Small business counseling services

Are you thinking about starting a business, but aren’t sure where to begin? Do you have questions such as: What are the licensing requirements? How do I get a loan for my business? or How do I write a business plan? The Small Business Center at Mitchell Community College can assist you in starting your business.

Mike Tucker, Director of the Small Business Center at Mitchell Community College, will be providing small business counseling services to individuals that are interested in starting a business or to existing businesses. These counseling sessions are intended to assist individuals in understanding the basic steps to starting and operating a small business.  Topics that are often covered during initial counseling sessions include:  understanding yourself, researching your market, defining your business structure, determining fees and licensing requirements, developing a marketing plan, pricing, bookkeeping and budgeting, preparing financial statements, writing a business plan, and implementing the plan.
