Shades of Love Community Celebration Event

Come out and celebrate the life and importance of our community and each person's role in our community. Throughout this last year, Shades of Love was voted Most Influential Community Service Organization! In June 2016 Shades of Love was founded by Heather Edmunds, owner and photographer for Moments by Heather Edmunds. She wanted a way to give back to the community and create a sense of unity during a time when our country was so divided. At last years event in August there were about 200 people that came out including our local law enforcement, fire department, some of our town officials, the guardians of the children, about 10 local businesses, and lots of community families! In December 2016, Shades of Love adopted the Mooresville Fire Department and fed over 120 firemen over the weekend of Christmas full course meals. In February 2017, Shades of Love adopted Walter G Byers Elementary School, one whose poverty rate is 96.3% having nearly 400 children living in homeless shelters. Over 400 of these children were provided brand new shoes and socks as part of a movement which started and is still in process. 

Funds raised from the 2017 Shades of Love event will go to help Shades of Love officially become a non-profit as well as supporting the causes in progress in bettering our community and creating unity within our community and country through action, acceptance, understanding, and most importantly LOVE.
