PROBUS Club of Lake Norman October 20 Meeting

Mr. Derek Smith will speak at the October 20 meeting of the Probus Club of Lake Norman. He will discuss the history and development of the NC Wildflower Program. Motorists driving on North Carolina roads for the past 30 years have enjoyed the colorful plantings that decorate our roadsides. The NC Dept. of Transportation continues to improve and upgrade the variety of plants, not only for their beauty, but also to attract more bees and other pollinators to the hundreds of acres they oversee. Probus is a club of retired professional and business people that meets monthly at Berea Baptist Church in Mooresville (Highway 150 West). All are invited. The meeting begins at 10 a.m. with fellowship time, and at 10:30 the speaker is introduced. Following the meeting, those interested go for lunch together.
