Let the Seniors Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) help you choose a plan. We can also help you apply for Low Income Subsidy Assistance. Volunteer counselors are trained by the NC Dept. of Insurance and provide free individual assistance to people, who are Medicare eligible. Counselors advise about Medicare, Medicare Part D, Low Income Subsidy Assistance, Medicare supplements, Medicare Advantage, long - term care insurance, assist with billing problems and Medicare fraud and abuse. Counselors are available at South Iredell Senior Center and Iredell Senior Center by appointment only.
