NFL Alumni / Shriners Charity Golf Classic

8th Annual American Valve NFL Alumni / Shriners Charity Golf Classic will again be hosted at Verdict Ridge Country Club on June 13, 2010

The 2010 event promises to be a great one for the best of causes with over 55 retired NFL Players already registered to play. 

 

This tournament is a handicapped team scramble tournament. Each foursome is paired with a former NFL player who will captain the team. All winners' handicaps are subject to verification, and only teams with verified handicaps from all five members will be eligible for prizes. In an attempt to level the playing field, tournament scoring rules penalize teams for having more than one "A" player (0-8) handicap, and/or more than two "B" players (9-16) handicap. The scoring system is based on a team handicap derived by taking the lowest handicap in the fivesome and multiplying that number by 35 percent. Decisions of the Tournament Golf Committee on handicapping, penalties, and scoring are final.
