Mitchell Community College 5K Run/Walk for Excellence

The Mitchell Community College Run/Walk For Excellence will be held on Saturday, May 5 beginning at 9am.  The annual event also features a one mile "fun run" for children which will start at 9:30am.  Both runs begin in front of the college's Statesville campus and follow a course through the city  ending back at the college.  Proceeds from the event go to the College's Endowment for Excellence.  The entry fee for the 5K is $15 before April 24th or $20 the day of the event.  The "fun run" for kids is $5 day of race.  Awards for first and second place will be presented in several categories.  For more information call 704-878-4321 online www.mitchell.cc.nc.us
