Free nature program, Spectacular Spiders

Dr. David Grant, professor emeritus of biology at Davidson College, plans to talk about the fascinating behavior, ecology and anatomy of our local spider fauna. He will even bring some live specimens along with him, if weather conditions are favorable. Grant’s interest in spiders, he said, “grew from my own introduction to these fascinating critters as an undergraduate at Wooster” and was used as a lab-teaching project on higher invertebrate groups while he was at Davidson. Since retirement, Grant has volunteered at Discovery Place and Nature Museum in Charlotte, and the Schiele Museum in Gastonia.
