Christmas in July Workshop

It’s hard to believe but come July, volunteers will be crafting items for South Iredell Senior Center’s Santa’s Gift Shop. Although the opening for the gift shop isn’t until November, it takes a lot of work and time to prepare for this two month sale. Our first workshop is coming up on Mon. July 25 from 9- noon. If you’re a creative person please sign up to help. This year we will also be including a special section for autumn and Thanksgiving items, which is set to open the first of October. In order for any of this to be possible, we need donations, handmade crafts, and talented volunteers. We take just about anything. If we can’t use it for the Santa’s Gift Shop, we’ll place it in our Odds & Ends Sale. Items most needed include: Fall and Christmas decorative items of any kind, jewelry, and gift items to go in gift baskets. All items must be clean and in good condition. No books, broken items, or clothes; although, hats, gloves, and scarves are accepted. If you’re talented, consider making something to donate. Donations may be dropped off at the front desk of the Senior Center, 202 N. Church St., Mooresville, M-F 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Donation forms are available for tax purposes.
