Allergies, Nothing to Sneeze About

Is it allergies or a cold? Spring is here and that means a time when allergies attack our wellbeing. The number of people in the U.S. who have either allergy or asthma symptoms is one in five. The percentage of the U.S. population that test positive to one or more allergies is 55%. Allergies rank 5th among other leading chronic diseases in the U.S. Join Dr. Lewis to learn how to determine if you have a cold or allergies in a workshop held at the South Iredell Senior Center on Thurs., April 28 from 12-1 p.m. Topics will include: Causes and symptoms of allergies, common allergies and tests for them, as well as, treatment, prevention, and management of allergies. Open discussion and questions are encouraged. A light lunch will be provided. To attend, please RSVP by Fri., April 22 with a $1 donation to SISC in support of their health promotion programs. No registration by phone. The workshop is being conducted and sponsored by Doctor Roy Lewis, ENT.
