Alice Formon BOOK LAUNCH A Hole So Deep

Alice Formon, local author book launch:  From A Hole So Deep. Mooresville Author Alice L. Formon will be autographing her latest release A Hole So Deep”   Born into an extremely poor farm family, one of 11 children during the Great Depression, A Hole So Deep is the true story of Alice’s family’s survival, lack of education, domestic abuse and the challenges she overcame to pursue her goals to better herself with education being a top priority.  With her sharp wit, keen intelligence and a few good friends who believed in her she was able to form a plan that would take her out of a hole so deep.  There were many hurdles to overcome including a cruel and controlling father, hysterical mother and alcoholic husband.   From the cotton fields in Oklahoma to a university in New Jersey, after receiving her degree Alice traveled to North Carolina where she acquired her first business.  She reared five children and with husband John Marshall lives in Mooresville.  Please stop by her booth and say hello to this amazing lady.  Alice’s books are also on sale at the chamber office, 149 E.
