Adult Drawing Class

Drawing is an exciting and inexpensive medium to explore your creativity wherever you are. It is also a necessity for all two-dimensional art disciplines and doesn’t need to be stressful or formidable! Several methods exist in learning to draw from life which allow you to see and interpret your subject matter accurately. A variety of approaches will be explored such as contour drawing, viewfinders, chiaroscuro, texture, proportion, values, tones, ellipses. Students will learn how to use these necessary tools to gain confidence and create effective drawings. The instructor will provide a variety of subject matter for the students to work with to enhance the experience of drawing from life. Students will explore tools and techniques to appreciate drawing as a medium of choice or as a base to transfer what you see into a final painting. Workshops are held October 10th, 17th & 24th.
